O.M.G....how long has it been!!

Hello again ..I can't believe that so much time has past since I last posted. So much has happened yet it doesn't seem that long ago. Well if I start at the beginning that might help...Last October I had a crash in my car which triggered off my depression ( I haven't suffered with this for over 12 years) I wasn't hurt and neither was anyone in the other car but as it was my first ever accident in 17 years of driving I think I shocked myself. I ended up being off work for a month, it was awful I couldn't even talk to people on the phone and I struggled to go out. Thankfully I beat it again and went back to work. Honestly I wish I hadn't as it was the most stressful place in the world to be. Instead of easing my way in I was chucked head first into nearly 50 hour weeks and ended up working all over Christmas..This resulted in me making my mind up that it would be easier to step down from my deputy position..I am now just a carer and it is so much easier, it doesn't mean that I am completely happy in my work, it just means I have less responsibilities....The only downside of stepping down is that my employer has now changed my hours to the most ridiculous rota I have ever had...one week I work five full days in a row(including the weekend) then on the other week I work a full day on the friday! I think that these shifts are my punishment!!!!

On a different note I have also had a bit of a image change. I have had all my hair cut off and gone much lighter I needed a change and thankfully I have had all good feedback even from hubby!!
I have also given up smoking, I haven't had a fag in five weeks and touch wood I haven't been tempted. The cravings have been quite weak this time so I think I have cracked it. Food does taste a hell of a lot better but I have had a blocked nose since I stopped and I am struggling to find all this extra energy that giving up is supposed to give you...maybe it will jump out at me when I'm least expecting it!

I have also discovered the most fantastic trilogy of novels they are the Fifty Shades set and from the minute I read the first page I was hooked I ended up reading all three in four days and that is good going for me as they are roughly 600 pages each. For those of you who haven't read them I suggest that you go and get a copy. Just for you I will write what is written on the back of the book

Romantic, liberating and totally addictive, this is a novel that will obsess you, possess you, and stay with you forever.
When literature student Anastasia Steele interviews successful entrepeneur Christian Grey, she finds him very attractive and deeply intinidating. Convinced that their meeting went badly, she tries to put him out of her mind - until he turns up at the store where she works part-time, and invites her out.

Unworldly and innocent, Ana is shocked to find she wants this man. And, when he warns her to keep her distance, it only makes her want him more.

But Grey is tormented by inner demons, and consumed by the need to control. As they embark on a passsionate love affair, Ana discovers more about her own desires, as well as the dark secrets Grey keeps hidden away from public view....

If you are tempted to read these books be prepared to put aside a few hours, because once you start reading believe me you will not be able to put it down and once you've read the first one you will be desperate to read the next so get all three at once!!! I made the mistake of just bying the first one on its own and had to wait until I read the next ones!!!
The next picture will make a good visual of what I think Christian Grey looks like....

While looking for this picture I came across another that I thought was funny but said it all...

Until next time...

Horrible Histories Tuesday and a quick rant..I promise!!

As I wasn't able to post much last week I thought that I would treat you all to two of my favourite videos again this week. I am hoping that it will cheer me up a bit as this week has started off on a really bad note. I know that when you have time off from work going back is hard enough but my first day back (yesterday) was worse than I could of imagined...during my two weeks absence the "other deputy" decided that she would winge and moan about me which resulted in me having to have a meeting with the manager. The majority of what she said was completely childish, she even moaned about what I was wearing..during management hours we normally wear white blouse/black trousers but I happened to wear green blouse/brown trousers..how petty!!. I personally think that she hates the fact that she has to share the position with me ( the only reason she got it was because she threw a strop and refused to come in to work until she got her own way..so it was given to her to shut her up!) she seems to be determined to stab myself and everyone else in the back to get what she wants. Yesterday I was contemplating demoting myself to save on the hassle but as it was pointed out to me if I did that then she would have got her own way yet again!! So I will have to fight for my position!!!!
Anyhoo apologies for ranting but I needed to get it off my chest now that I have I feel better...

I hope you enjoy these vidoes as much as I do and any words of wisdom that anyone can offer with my work problems would be most appreciated!!!

Back Home!

Hello again...We came back from our camping trip yesterday and what an experience that was!!! The first day was great, the sun was shining and there were blue skies. We arrived at the campsite which was set in a forest it was very peaceful. Setting the tent up was quite easy once we were all set up the rest of the day went well. Sat by the campfire until late was lovely especially when the owls and foxes awoke and the evening sky was a beautiful purple/pink colour. I must admit though that the trek to the toilet was a bit too far for me I must have walked for miles that day!!. The next day was damp with the morning dew but not too bad, The fried bacon made up for the dampness though! We spent the day in Paignton and Torquay visiting one of the best museums I have been to in a long time it is called Bygones and it has thousands of items ranging from Victorian upto the sixties it also has a lifesize victorian street( I have taken loads of photos from Bygones which I will post sometime over the next few days)

When we got back to the campsite it decided to start raining very gently for the first couple of hours but during the night the heavens decided to open so by the morning we all felt very cold and wet. We decided that enough was enough we were going to pack up and go home. So that was the end of our trip we put all our stuff in the car and came home! As we packed up so quickly and it was raining we didn't have any breakfast  so we were not only cold and wet but now we were very hungry. We searched for the nearest McDonalds and those golden arches could not have come soon enough!! In we all went aching, tired, wet and looking like we had just been dragged through a hedge! we got our meals and who should turn up but Ronald McDonald!! We could not get out of there quick enough!! when you feel half dead like we did he is the last person you want to see...Anyway we are all feeling much better now and I am so glad to have my toilet back..Time to put the chickens away now so until the next time!

Well its Friday again, how quickly the days are whizzing by! Following on from yesterdays post I am pleased to say that there hasn't been anymore trouble so far, my only worry is that it may start up again once the huge police presence has dwindled down ( we can only hope and pray that it has ended)

Anyway now for something more lighthearted to start off the weekend......

UK Riots

Every morning since Sunday morning we have put the news on only to see the most horrendous images of rioting. I find the behaviour of these youths absolutely disgusting It seems to me that the only reason they have to do this is to get money, they do not give a damn about anyone but themselves .The destruction they have caused is immense resulting in the death of 3 innocent young lads who were mown down in the street and millions of pounds worth of damage. It was very sad to see beautiful old buildings destoyed. From the images below you can see how unbelievable this has been . It has been like watching an end of the world film.....

As you can see these images are really unbelievable but I think one of the worst videos I saw on the news was the one where a young lad had been attacked..punched in the face..he is bleeding on the floor when a group of youths look like they're helping him up only to steal from his backpack. The sad thing is this poor boy had only been in the country for one month. Here is the video .......

I really hope that the government sorts this out so that it doesn't happen again. Personally I think that if these stupid kids want to fight then they should be signed up to the armed forces and shipped out to Afghanistan where they would at least be fighting for a reason. I know that the police have been trying their hardest during these riots but they can only use so much force and there really isn't enough of them. With that in mind there have been over the last few nights very large groups of law abiding citizens who have had enough and are now taking to the streets to protect their communities. If I am completely honest I think that I would feel a hell of a lot safer knowing that these guys were looking out for me.........
While looking for pictures to put in this post I came across  the one below I find it unbelievable ...

This picture was taken by someone who found this leaflet on the floor.

Horrible Histories Tuesday ( one day early!)

A day early I know but for some reason I thought it was tuesday today I don't know why I just did!! so that it why this has been posted today... Following on from my other themed days I thought I would use Tuesday to introduce clips from one of the greatest kids programmes ever made. I am a huge fan of the programme Horrible Histories. Its a kids programme but I'm sure that I am not the only adult to find this programme absolutly hilarious. If I had this programme when I was growing up I think I would have learned a lot more. It is basically a group of adults acting out historical events but in a modern way the best part of the programme is their songs they are very funny. I didn't know if it was broadcast in other countries so I thought I would share it with you all. To start off my Horrible Histories Tuesday  I am going to start with King Charles the second.

I thought I would add another one just for fun the video below has been taken from an advert we have running in england called we buy any car !! it is just the same as the advert..but funnier !!
